One late September day, Madelyn had her first trip to the Fort Worth Zoo. She and I went with another Mommy, Tiffany, and a little boy, Brazos. He is about six months older than Madelyn. Here we are at the entrance, about to make our debut.
Our first stop was the gorillas. Madelyn was a little more interested in eating than looking...
...and here they are looking at the monkeys (of some variety). Luckily, it was a nice day and the animals were in plain sight everywhere we went!

This was the black bear area...I think she wanted to swim with them.All in all, we had a really good time. We still haven't made it back since, but we do have passes to go, and plan to use them in the fall of 2011, when it is cooler again!
