February 11th in Flower Mound, TX

February 11th would have been like any other Texas winter day...but it wasn't. We had record snowfall in DFW! A new record of 12.5 inches, to be exact. The previous daily record was 7.8 inches on January 15, 1964, and the previous 24-hour record was 12.1 inches on January 14, 1917. (Anyone see a pattern here? Heavy snowfall every 40-50 years...hmm...global warming?? Maybe it's just cyclical!)

We stayed cozy in the house, except Chip's excursion outdoors to get some pictures. And, of course, Sallie braved the snow to chase her ball.

The holly tree outside our study window...bent all the way down!

The front lawn.

A tree in the back yard.

Sallie digging for her ball in the snow!

Chasing the ball. Madelyn and I stayed inside to watch Crazy Sallie.
