Memorial BBQ for Uncle Ken

The weekend of June 13th, there was a memorial BBQ held in honor of Chip's Uncle Ken. Uncle Ken passed away on Mother's Day of this year from pancreatic cancer. We all miss him and his humor so much! He could always make you smile.

The BBQ was in Ladonia, TX (um...where's that?!). It was about a two hour drive from our house headed NE toward Greenville, TX. We had a good time seeing the family and meeting some more of Uncle Ken's buddies. It was HOT and the BBQ was outdoors, but luckily there was plenty of covered areas and even an air-conditioned RV for us to sit in. Madelyn did great, although she was sweaty just like the rest of us!
